While there is no official word yet, it looks like Samsung has another bundle up its sleeve. This is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 Game Edition bundle, named for the includedSamsung GamePad and HDMI dongle. This will allow you to plug the Galaxy Tab 3 into a TV using an HDMI cable and use the Bluetooth GamePad to play games on the big screen (the GamePad can hold phones up to 6.3-inches, so it won’t hold the tablet).
There is no mention of release date or price, but it won’t be cheap. The price of a GamePad purchased separately varies from source to source, but it goes for anywhere from 63 to 79 euros, or $86 to $108 US dollars. The bundle will probably bring that price down considerably, but it’s a high price.
I wonder why Samsung has created a Game Edition bundle with a tablet that’s generally considered lower end. With a 1.5GHz dual core processor, it’s not exactly top of the line for gaming. But either way, it can be a good product. What are your thoughts on it? Leave a comment!
