Tomb Raider is a 2013 action-adventure video game published by Square Enix. Tomb Raider is the fifth title developed by Crystal Dynamics in the Tomb Raider franchise. As the first entry in a new Tomb Raider continuity, the game is a reboot that emphasises the reconstructed origins of the culturally influential lead character Lara Croft.Tomb Raider was released on 5 March 2013 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and on 23 January 2014 for Mac OS X.
After the release of Tomb Raider: Underworld in 2008, Crystal Dynamics began development of Tomb Raider soon after. Rather than a sequel, the team decided to completely reboot the series, establishing the origins of Lara Croft for the second time, following Tomb Raider: Legend.Tomb Raider is set on Yamatai, an island from which Lara Croft must save her friends and escape while being hunted down by a malevolent cult. Gameplay elements focus more on survival, although exploration is used within the game when exploring the island and various optional tombs. It is also the first game in the series to have multiplayer and the first game to be published by Square Enix, after the latter's acquisition of Eidos Interactive in 2009. Camilla Luddington was announced to voice and perform as Lara Croft in 2010, replacing Keeley Hawes.
After a delayed release from late 2012 to March 2013, the game received much anticipation and hype.Tomb Raider received critical acclaim upon release, with critics praising the graphics, the gameplay, Luddington's performance as Lara, and Lara's characterization and development, although the addition of the multiplayer mode was criticised. Tomb Raider sold one million copies within 48 hours of its release, and has sold more than 4 million copies overall. An updated version, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, was released in North America on 28 January 2014 and in Europe on 31 January 2014 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One containing all features and DLC.

Gameplay

Tomb Raider is presented in third-person perspective, and the player takes control of the lead character, Lara Croft: the game uses an interconnected hub-and-spoke model that combines action-adventure, exploration, and survival mechanics.Lara can traverse between the camps and across the island using footpaths, improvised or already-available ziplines and climbable tracks. Many of Lara's moves are carried over from the previous games created by Crystal Dynamics, with some tweaks added, such as incorporating elements of stealth gameplay. Quick Time Events are scattered at regular intervals throughout the game, often appearing at crucial or fast-moving points in the game's plot, such as two early ones where Lara has to extract a shard of metal from her side, then later escape a collapsing cave. The combat of the game borrows multiple elements from the Uncharted series, with the player having the ability to free-aim Lara's bow and the guns she salvages, engage in close-quarter combat and perform stealth kills.Added to Lara's abilities is Survival Instinct, a mode where enemies, collectables and objects pivotal to environmental puzzles will be highlighted for the player. The game also incorporates RPG elements: as the player progresses through the game, they earn experience points from performing certain actions and completing in-game challenges linked with hunting, exploring and combat: this enables Lara Croft's skills and abilities to be upgraded in specific ways, such as giving her more storage capacity for arrows and ammunition.Players can also upgrade and customize weapons using salvage collected across the island. There is also a character progression mechanic in the game: better items, weapons and equipment is gained as the player progresses, though the appearance of most of these items is closely linked to events in the story.Karl Stewart said that the game's campaign lasts between 12 and 15 hours.Along with the main story, players will have the chance to do multiple side quests, explore the island, revisit locations, and search for challenge tombs.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is a 2013 historical action-adventure open world video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It was released worldwide for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 29, 2013; for the Wii U on October 29, 2013 in North America, on November 21, 2013 in Australia, on November 22, 2013 in Europe, and on November 28, 2013 in Japan; for the PlayStation 4 on November 15, 2013 in North America, on November 22, 2013 in Europe, and on November 29, 2013 in Australia; for Microsoft Windows on November 19, 2013 in North America, on November 21, 2013 in Australia, and on November 22, 2013 in Europe; and for the Xbox One on November 22, 2013.
It is the sixth major installment in the Assassin's Creed series, a sequel to 2012's Assassin's Creed III's modern story and a prequel to its historical storyline. The story is set in the early 18th century Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy, and follows notorious pirate Edward Kenway, grandfather of Assassin's Creed III protagonist Ratonhnhaké:ton, who stumbles upon the conflict waged by the Assassins and Templars. Unlike previous games, gameplay elements focus more on ship-based exploration in the open world map, while also retaining the series' third-person land-based exploration, melee combat, and stealth system. Multiplayer also returns, albeit with only land-based modes and settings.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag received positive reviews, with critics praising the open world gameplay, side-quests, graphics and naval combat. The story received a mixed response, while criticism fell on aspects of the story missions which were considered repetitive. The game received several awards and nominations, including winning the Spike VGX 2013 award for Best Action Adventure Game.

Gameplay

The game features three main cities; Havana, Kingston, and Nassau, Bahamas, which reside under Spanish, British and pirate influence, respectively. The game also features 50 other "unique" locations to explore, with a 60/40 balance between land and naval exploration.Assassin's Creed IV has a more open world feel, with missions similar to those found in Assassin's Creed, as well as fewer restrictions for the player. The world opens up sooner in the game, as opposed to Assassin's Creed III, which had very scripted missions and did not give players freedom to explore until the game was well into its first act.The player will encounter jungles, forts, ruins and small villages and the world is being built to allow players much more freedom, such as allowing players to engage, board, and capture passing ships and swimming to nearby beaches in a seamless fashion. In addition, the hunting system has been retained from Assassin's Creed III, allowing the player to hunt on land, and fish in the water.
A new aspect in the game is the ship that the player captains, the Jackdaw. The Jackdaw is upgradeable throughout the game, and is easily accessible to the player when needed. In addition, a new underwater component has been added. The player has access to a spyglass, allowing the examination of distant ships, along with their cargo and strength. It can also help determine if an island still has animals to hunt, treasures to find or high points to reach for synchronization. An updated form of the recruit system introduced in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood has returned, allowing Edward to recruit crew members. While Kenway's crew will remain loyal to him, and can be promoted to captain acquired ships, they cannot assist in combat or perform long-range assassinations, as in previous games. Ubisoft removed this aspect of the brotherhood system, believing it allowed players to bypass tense and challenging scenarios too easily.
In the present day, at the offices of Abstergo Entertainment — a subsidiary of Abstergo Industries — in Montreal, Quebec, players engage in modern day pirating through the exploring of Abstergo's offices, eavesdropping and hacking, all without combat. As well, various "hacking" games, similar to previous cluster and glyph puzzles, are present, that uncover secrets about Abstergo.
Multiplayer also returns, with new settings and game modes, though it is only land-based.

Mad Max is an upcoming post-apocalyptic vehicular combat video game set in an open world environment. It is based on the Mad Max film series, being published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developed by Avalanche Studios.
Officially revealed at E3 2013 on June 10 during a Sony press conference, It is slated for release for Microsoft WindowsPlayStation 3,PlayStation 4Xbox 360 and Xbox One in 2014.

The game starts off with..."Play as Mad Max, a lone warrior who must embark on a dangerous journey after his Interceptor is stolen by a deadly gang of marauders. A reluctant hero with an instinct for survival, Max wants nothing more than to leave the madness behind and find solace in the storied 'Plains of Silence'."

In Mad Max, the player takes on the role of titular character Mad Max; a dangerous melee fighter and can use his attacks to kill almost anyone. His weapon of choice is his shotgun. He is assisted by another man called Chumbucket. Chum mainly works with Max to build and upgrade the Magnum Opus vehicle.
Mad Max will feature a variety of weapons which Max can use to defeat enemies. Though the shotgun is Max's weapon of choice, ammo is scarce, and so melee options are the smarter way to go. The 'thunderstick' is an explosive weapon that can be lanced into an enemy's chest, crackling like a lit dynamite fuse before blowing the victim to smithereens. The Harpoon is also one of Max's favorite weapon though it can only be used in-vehicle with Chum riding along. Max's Magnum Opus can be combined with a speedy V12 engine and powerful ramming ability to destroy enemies's vehicles and weaponry. When simultaneously driving and aiming, the game enters slow-motion and allows you to toggle between targets. Not much is known about the vehicular combat and its features.
Mad Max will feature crafting system which can be used to craft new weapons and tools. Max's garage can also be used to change and modify the car's engines, chassis, wheels, body works including paint treatment and the “shell” of the auto-mobile and the car’s weight and attributes update accordingly. Max can also be upgraded though it's plans hasn't fully been implemented.
Many choices are given in the game, such as, either playing silently or aggressively. Max can also get guidance from Chum about how he can complete his objectives strategically. However, its largely up to the player how he can complete the objectives.

The rifleman acts as the main firepower, and also has ammo boxes which can be used to resupply ammunition for his/her teammates or himself/herself. Sniper class users can hit more far range targets. Medics can only shoot so far as they are equipped with a shotgun as their primary weapon, but they are essential to everyone in the cooperative modes - as they can heal themselves and others, and also revive others by defibrillation. The engineer class can set up proximity mines and claymores and have SMGS - and are therefore suited towards close-range combat. They can also repair armour, their own or others. The rifleman class by default is equipped with a M4A1(R4A1 in-game for copyright reasons), a HP Browning pistol(High-Powered pistol in-game), a standard knife, and a frag grenade.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts.It is a sequel to Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II, making it the third major game in the Dragon Age franchise.
BioWare is planning on fusing elements of both earlier games in the series, Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II, into the creation of Dragon Age: Inquisition. The game will feature larger environments with much more opportunity for exploration[citation needed].
BioWare has confirmed that multiple playable races are returning, both female and male. Players can play as a Human, Dwarf, or Elf just like in Dragon Age: Origins. Additionally, Qunari are also playable.
However, combat is expected to differ somewhat from its predecessors and focus more on a player's ability to prepare, position, and form a cohesive team with his or her party members, requiring fewer repetitive finger strikes but better thinking.Tactical view also returns for all five platforms in DAI[citation needed], whereas before it was exclusive to PC in Dragon Age: Origins, then was removed in Dragon Age II.
The romance aspect of the game has been overhauled. As opposed to Bioware's previous gift and dialogue based system, romance will occur in reaction to events and variables specific to each character, which will end with "mature and tasteful" sex scenes.
Developers vowed to their fans that, compared to its predecessors, the decisions they made throughout the series will have a greater impact on the story and that the player will be given more control over their gaming experience.
Customization is said to be expanded in the next game. The developers addressed mainly how equipment would be handled with party members. They described a situation in which the player found a breastplate and decided to give it to a party member. Depending upon which party member received it, the breastplate would automatically adjust its shape and aesthetics in order to fit that particular character while still maintaining his or her identity. It was also hinted that armor customization will go as far as altering its color and pattern.
Laidlaw confirmed that some ability will likely exist for players to import their save files from the first two games into Dragon Age: Inquisition "to shore up world consistency".
Ray Muzyka, BioWare's former CEO, said in an interview with Wired.com that Dragon Age: Inquisition would be influenced by more open world games, such as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which BioWare is "checking out aggressively."Also, the developers promised their fans that they will no longer reuse environments, which was considered a main issue in Dragon Age II.In regards to the more open-world nature of the game, BioWare has stated that while they looked to Skyrim for inspiration, it will not be quite that open.

Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee is a 2001 video game, originally released for Xbox. It is the third game made by Oddworld Inhabitants. It is the second chapter of the Oddworld Quintology, following Abe's Oddysee, and the fifth overall Oddworld game.
Originally announced as a title in development for PlayStation 2, it was instead released exclusively as one of the launch titles for Xbox. While an "Oddboxx" containing all four games was originally intended for a holiday season 2009 release on Steam, the third and fourth games in the series were not released until December 20, 2010 on Steam, over two years after the first two.

Munch's Oddysee was the first game in the Oddworld series to be in 3D, unlike the 2D Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus.
Abe's chant possession ability was also changed. In Munch's Oddysee, it appears as a small ball of energy which the player controls. In order to possess an enemy, you need spooceshrubs, which are green and ball-shaped. They can also be used for opening some locked doors. Other new features include Abe's ability to pick up objects and people, and different vending machine power-ups, such as Expresso, which increases speed for a limited time.
The most significant new feature is the ability to switch between Abe and Munch. Munch has his own abilities, such as using his sonar to control the Snoozers from the control panel, as well as pick up grabbers. He can also swim in water, while Abe can not. In the Munch's Oddysee booklet, it warns that Abe can only possess Industrialists, but in gameplay, you can possess all the same creatures as you could in Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus, and for the first time, you can possess Slogs, though the options for controlling non-Industrialists are very limited. There isn't a proper use for possessing non-Industrial creatures apart from using them to fight each other; however, the possessed creatures are usually the ones killed.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is an upcoming action-adventure game and a sequel to the 2010 game, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. The game is in development by MercurySteam and published by Konami. It is expected to be MercurySteam's last contribution to the Castlevania franchise. The story is set in a modern world.

As in the previous game, the player will control Gabriel Belmont, now known as Dracula, as he fights through an open world.During the game's opening sequence the player will able to control Dracula while he still possesses all his powers as well as all of his weapons.Dracula's main weapon is his Blood Whip, a weapon that is comparable to the Combat Cross from the original Lords of Shadow. Replacing the magic system from the previous game are the Void Sword and the Chaos Claws. The Void Sword can replenish Dracula's health when used while the Chaos Claws can be used to break through enemy defenses and deliver powerful attacks. The story mode in Lords of Shadow 2 has been stated to be far longer than the previous one.The game will mainly be an open world allowing the player to choose what route to take. This game will also feature a movable camera, something that was not available in the first Lords of Shadow game.
